I had the same run around at age 53. I went through an extremely difficult mid-life crisis and a surgery. I came out of surgery and went into menopause and the same sea of debilitating symptoms. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s an autoimmune thyroid condition and by taking hormones, supplements and changing my diet, I’m back to normal. But I had to find a functional medicine Dr and most women aren’t so lucky. This changed my outlook on drugs which don’t work if I stuff my face with bad, processed foods. It starts with the gut and the foods we eat. I’m glad you’re feeling better. Age discrimination is alive and well. They’re done with people at age 45. It’s a shame.
